STC 13 Quiet Curtains reduce noise by up to 13 decibels! STC 13 Quiet Curtains are especially designed for the hotel and hospitality trade where fire certification, light weight and multiple curtain constructions are required. We can use your fabrics or you can choose from our wide selection of beautiful fabrics. We can also retrofit existing curtain systems.
Acoustic Quiet Curtains reduce reverberation and echo, as well as reduce interference from outside noise. Acoustic Quiet Curtain’s have tested NRC (up to .85 NRC) and decibel reduction values provide precise acoustical control and flexibility. Acoustic Quiet Curtains work due to our unique combinations of fabrics, lining and construction.
All Quiet Curtains are custom made to our clients' specifications for size, type of construction and fabrics. We offer a wide range of constructions, fabrics and colors at very reasonable prices. For example, an 8’x8’ French Pleat acoustic Quiet Curtain in your choice of beautiful Nova Suede® fabric costs only about $850.
Our French Pleat acoustic Quiet Curtains use two and a half times fabric fullness with our 3-ply Sound Control, Black Out lining sewn into the pleats. Our double-sided acoustic Quiet Curtains use up to 2 times fullness with our 3-ply Sound Control, Black Out lining. We also offer Ripplefold® and Quiet Curtains Roman Shades. Our STC 20 Quiet Curtains are double sided up to 1.5 times fullness.
Additionally, in response to requests from hospitals and doctors, we have developed a special
line of Quiet Hospital Cubicle Curtains to increase patient privacy. With all constructions the result is a very substantial drapery. This contributes to the sound absorbency and dampening qualities of Quiet CurtainsYou can choose from any of our tested fabrics below or we can make your Quiet Curtains from a fabric of your choice (and give you a well informed estimate of what the acoustical properties will be). All Quite Curtains are hand made in the best drapery workroom in Southern California and we happily accommodate commercial and volume orders. Satin Splash: The newest in water repellent fabric.
- 100% water repellant Polyester; 11 ounce weight.

Visa Velvet®

Solitaires
This 16 ounce weight fabric is actually black-out lining printed on one side in a wide variety of colors This allows us to construct Quiet Curtains and drapes entirely out of black-out linings for maximum sound reduction. Quiet Curtains work best when hanging in loose folds. Allow for stacking space if you want the curtains to clear a window or door.
By sizing the Quiet Curtains to completely cover side, top and bottom of the windows, you are minimizing the amount of sound that can get through to the other side. Traverse rods allow the fabric to overlap in the center and wrap around the sides to provide as much coverage as possible.
When measuring, allow curtains to fall from rod to about 1/2" from the floor for best results. When giving us measurements, provide width and length for each curtain. Add additional stacking space if you need the curtain to clear the window on either side.

We suggest using heavy duty Kirsch® traverse drapery rods for most applications. You choose whether your Quiet Curtains are center-opening or side opening (note from which side you'd like them to open). For Quiet Curtains which measure more than 10 ft. wide or which are extra long (and heavy), we recommend a professional ADC® track that we can order for you.Please give us 4 -6 weeks to manufacture and ship your curtains. We professionally pack and ship the Quiet Curtains so they arrive ready to hang.
We accept a 50% deposit at the time of order and the balance upon delivery. Quiet Curtains are non-returnable as they are custom-made to your specifications; however they are guaranteed to be 100% free from defect or they will be replaced or repaired immediately at no cost to you.
